Mountain biker drops 12.46 feet onto one very small cardboard target

What happened

UPI reported on October 9 that Austrian mountain biker Mario Neurauter earned the Guinness World Records title for the highest vertical drop on a bicycle onto a target by a male rider. At the Bike Republic Sölden Festival in September 2025, he rode from a 12.46-foot platform and landed his rear tire on a small red cardboard box, crushing it.

Why it matters

The stunt combines the impact management of a major bike drop with the precision of a target scarcely wider than the tire. Guinness certified this specific target-drop title; evidence for two other attempts from the same weekend—the overall vertical drop and a 360-degree target drop—was still under review when the October 9 report appeared.

The Blappos angle

Drop. Aim. Land. A mountain bike converted gravity into a precision instrument and one cardboard box into official paperwork. The illustration is an invented alpine event scene, not the record footage, and it is not an instruction to attempt a high-consequence stunt.
