World’s two oldest men share a birthday one year apart and exchange greetings
What happened
Guinness World Records reported on October 5 that João Marinho Neto of Brazil, the world’s oldest living man, turned 114 while Ken Weeks of Australia, the second-oldest living man, turned 113. Born on the same date exactly one year apart, they exchanged birthday photographs and greetings across the globe.
Why it matters
The shared birthday is a rare, hopeful connection across roughly 14,000 kilometers, backed by age-validation records rather than an internet claim. It is a celebration of two lives, not evidence for a single longevity secret or a medical promise.
The Blappos angle
One Birthday. Two Centuries of Stories. The card aisle has officially become an international time zone. The design uses cakes, cards and a globe rather than either man’s name or likeness.
