ScotRail quiet carriage adds one extremely airborne passenger
What happened
UPI reported that a bat flew through a ScotRail carriage on the Gourock-to-Glasgow Central service while the train traveled between Cartsdyke and Bogston stations in Greenock. Passengers ducked as staff and riders tried to guide it toward an exit with a Saltire flag and a cap; the bat eventually flew out.
Why it matters
A bat inside a moving passenger carriage is difficult to direct without hurting it or alarming riders. The improvised response worked: the animal left the train and the episode ended with cheers rather than an injury or a prolonged service disruption.
The Blappos angle
Verified fact ends above. The Blappos interpretation: ScotRail apologized for the unannounced upgrade to winged service. The passenger had no ticket, no luggage and still found a faster route to the door than everyone in the aisle.
