Viral tiger escapes only from a video; 911 still gets the paperwork
What happened
UPI reported that Jackson Township police received numerous 911 calls after a viral video claimed a tiger was loose near Six Flags Great Adventure. Police said there was no loose tiger, and the park confirmed that every animal was safe and accounted for in its designated enclosure. The department asked people to stop tying up emergency lines with calls about the video.
Why it matters
An alarming clip can create a real public-safety burden even when its central claim is false. Repeated non-emergency calls consume dispatcher attention that may be needed for actual emergencies, while confirmation from the responsible facility and local police provides stronger evidence than an unattributed viral post.
