Jet ski stunt on flooded Bangkok street ends with jail, fine and confiscation

What happened

A 27-year-old man rode a jet ski along flooded New Phetchaburi Road while vehicles and residents were navigating a wider flood emergency. Video showed the craft making sharp turns and producing large waves. Makkasan police detained the rider and charged him with causing a public nuisance and obstructing traffic; a court reduced a one-month jail sentence and 10,000-baht fine to 15 days and 5,000 baht after a guilty plea and cooperation, and ordered the jet ski confiscated.
